So my last post was about how slow the internet in the Philippines is. So slow that watching a five minute video in YouTube take almost 20 minutes to load. So I'm giving you some tricks that I use to speed up my internet.

Open http://www.speedtest.net/to check the internet speed before and after you do any of this tricks.

1. So first of all if your using a pocket WiFi, you can use the oldest trick in the book. ELEVATE YOUR DEVICE. place it to some place higher. As we all know signals are in the form of waves, and maybe the waves is not hitting your device.

2. If that doesn't work try this instead. Go to Control Panel>Open Network and Sharing Center>Change adapter settings ( you'll see that in the left part of the screen) and here is what you should see.

Select your current connection, right click to that and click properties>Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)>properties

Click properties then you'll see something like the left photo. Select the Use the following DNS server addresses: and enter the following shown in the right photo. Then just close and your good to go.

If that didn't work for you, just undo everything then its back to normal.

3. If the previous two tricks didn't work, the best thing to do is to use internet at 12am-6am. At this time of the day internet is usually really fast because there only a few people using the internet so your getting the best out of it.
